Beautiful sketches Fran. What material did you do the first one with?

Thanks Mary. The first one is just a blue col-erase pencil. The other two are with grey tonal markers.

Thanks Fran. Can you buy them here in Dublin?

The pencils you would have to order over the internet but the markers you can get in thomas reads. They're quite expensive though.

OK, thanks. Yes I saw the pencils on the internet, I like them because they have thinner leads. Must have a look at the tonal markers in Reads.

Thomas Reads is a pub isn't it?

Mary said...

Yes Pat, it is a pub, but 'Reads' for pens etc. is in Nassau Street, and its now run by Easons. Its still sorta good value!

Ok, thanks Mary. Great work Fran; I really like the profile portrait. Are the markers hard to work with? It looks like they might be difficult to control.

hey pat. yeah you were right its not thomas reads just plain ol reads. Trust me to be thinking of a pub. the markers take a bit of getting used to alright but you can get some decent stuff out of them once you get the hang of them! you should ask tom for some hints and tips. he does some amazing stuff with them!
