Sunday 6th Sept - suggestions

Hi - am getting in early this week and suggesting the docklands. I know this was done fairly recently but my reason for suggesting same is two-fold. Firstly, the fringe festival is on, so there'll no doubt be lots of interesting sights and sounds. Secondly, a great op for anyone interested in entering the Luas competition to do some studies and seek inspiration, since the theme this year is the docklands. Does this grab anyone?

On a another note, a big congrats to fellow sketcher Ciaran Farrell who's composition "Spirit of the Sea" was debuted today in the NCH. I was lucky enough to be able to pop in and see it being performed at lunchtime, and it was really brill. We're proud of ya here at Sketchers Ciaran, well done!!

Docklands is always good, I think; north or south of the liffey? I'd prefer South, with the red sticks, etc.

Hey Ciaran L - where are the red sticks? Not sure I know that bit...

Ah! I really wish I knew about the preformance!! :)

The red sticks are next to Fresh and Il Valentino. We could meet in the Il Valentino again, they make good coffee, etc. Unfortunately on Sundays it closes at 3, so we will have to find something else after.

i know where you mean now - il valentino sounds like a good spot to meet. I'll put up a post confirming same a little later...

Well done Ciaran. I'd completely forgotten that was coming up! Docklands for the fringe thingie sounds like a win. They've been frantically constructing some sort of marque in the dry dock all this week.

There isn't a whole lot of information online as to what they plan on doing there on Sunday but sure I'm sure it'll be worth seeing :)

Congratulations Ciaran, sorry to have missed that lunchtime concert performance of your work. Hopefully there will be another one happening and details can be posted here.
