Cafe en Seine- 1st June

Hi creative people.
This week we are heading to Cafe en Seine on Dawson st.
The optional challenge for this week is to think of art nouveau, so draw some of the art nouveau features in the pub or draw something in the style of art nouveau.
We will come together in the pub at 4pm to look at each other's drawings. If you're new, just introduceyourself to anyone with a sketchbook.

Africa Day 2014 at Farmleigh

This week we are going to Africa Day at Farmleigh in Phoenix Park.

Expect lots of amazing things to draw! The optional weekly challenge is to integrate your favourite African patterns into your drawings. If it all gets overwhelming a nice calming thing to do is to follow the road a bit further and in just two minutes you will find the Donkey Sanctuary field full of sleepy Donkeys that make great subjects to draw or paint.

So, we will meet as close as possible to the entrance door of the main house at 2pm and back there again at 4pm for sharing. The website advises bringing a picnic rug or something to sit on, hopefully we will be luckier with the weather this week!

In addition to the normal buses running through the park, Dublin City Council will be running free shuttle buses from the entrance to the Parkgate Street entrance to Farmleigh, info here....

Hope to see you there!

and back there at 4pm for Coffee, chat and exceedingly fantastic pastries. Hope to see you there!

Sunday 11th May National Museum / Giro D'Italia 2014

This week we are going to the National MUSEUM.

I know it's not so long since we've been there but it's just about the right distance from Merrion Sq to avoid the crowds but still close enough to allow anyone brave enough to dive into the colour and excitement of the Giro D'Italia. www.girostart2014.com ( The RHA is closed at the moment unfortunately) so here's how to find the MUSEUM not the Gallery...

http://www.museum.ie/en/list/find-us-national-museum-ireland-archaeology.aspx

We'll meet at the front door of the MUSEUM at 2pm and afterwards at 4pm in the Museum Cafe on the ground floor. This week's optional challenge is to use some Pink or draw something with an Italian flavour in honour of Giro D'Italia!

If you haven't been before keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketch book and come and say hello. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are!

Hope to see you there! and remember not the Gallery, the MUSEUM! Unless you really want to go to the Gallery
