On Sunday the 28th May Dublin Sketchers will sketch in Drimnagh Castle from 2pm and at 4pm converge for paella cooked over an open fire by Pat as well as teas and coffees. Please bring €5 for the pot if you want to enjoy some of the grub. And / or bring something to share.
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Most people in the castle on Sunday will be sketchers! Don't be shy about entering the castle - it's tucked away back from the main street, stroll across the moat and sneak in through the wee door in the big door....
Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself. It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.
From 4pm, we'll gather for a coffee at the CHQ building. It is a few minutes walk away- cross the river and go left then walk a little bit and it is on the right side-beside the Sean O Casey bridge. There is lots of tables so there should be plenty of room for everyone.
It was a beautiful day for Dublin sketching. Everybody found interesting views and subjects. Too many there to record all the names, so if you want your name included, add it as a comment, telling us which sketch is yours, e.g. "4th from the top, view of the Liffey"
