This Sunday 1st December Dublin Sketchers are meeting at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA), Ely Place.

We will meet at 2pm.  At 4pm we will gather at KC Peaches on St Stephens Green (North) for refreshments and a chat.

If you can’t find any sketchers at the beginning don’t worry … and if you’re late you won’t be the only one.  It’s Sunday afternoon and we’re not famous for our punctuality.  Just get started and keep your eyes open for other sketchers.

Hope to see you on Sunday.

Sunday the 24th of November | Hugh Lane Gallery & Garden of Remembrance from 2pm. Drinks from 4pm at The Shakespeare at

On Sunday the 24th of November Dublin Sketchers will sketch at the Hugh Lane Gallery (in Charlemont House on Parnell Square North& Garden of Remembrance and the surrounding area from 2pm to 4pm. We will meet for drinks at 4pm at The Shakespeare/the Hop House Pub on Parnell St.

The Hugh Lane Gallery is one of the oldest contemporary art museums in Europe. It hosts Irish contemporary art, among which a fantastic reproduction of Francis Bacon's art studio, but also some French masterpieces such as Les Parapluies or The Umbrellas by Auguste Renoir.

Feel free to sketch both inside or outside the museum, as the beautiful Garden of Remembrance is just across the road. Lovely Georgian buildings in the surrounding area as well.

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

Here's a website about the location:

See you there!

Sketches from Marsh's Library

It was fantastic to be able to sketch inside Marsh's Library, a hidden gem in the city. Definitely a feeling of Bram Stoker there! Here are a few of the sketches from the day. Missing a few sketches, so email them to us at if you want your sketch included.
Thank you to the staff who welcomed us!

Sketches below from Pat, Paul, Bridget, James, Roísín, Jessica, Marie-Hélène, Betty, Caitriona,  in no particular order!
