Sunday 18 November - Smock Alley

On Sunday 18 November, Dublin Sketchers will sketch at Smock Alley from 2pm and meet for drinks at 4pm in the Turks Head.
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

About Smock Alley: Plenty of choice for sketching both inside and out, weather permitting. The Smock Alley Theatre is hosting the Dublin Book Festival this weekend. We cannot go into the main space because of the book festival, but we can go up to the banqueting hall. So be mindful of other visitors. If you are asked to move out of the way, please do so!  (This applies anywhere we go of course, but just a quick reminder!!)

From 4pm, we'll gather for a drink at The Turks Head, on Parliament Street, Temple Bar.

Sunday 4 November - The Freemasons' Hall

On Sunday 4 November, Dublin Sketchers will sketch in/at The Freemasons' Hall at 2 o'clock.

There will only be 1 member of staff on (Paddy has worked there since the late 1970's so will be able to answer any questions we have) so we will not be given a guided tour but we are welcome to see the museum and the meeting rooms. So it would be ideal if we could meet outside at 2pm and go in together but if you arrive later, no problem, I will stay in the hallway and keep an eye out

We will meet for drinks at 4pm at The Duke (usually plenty of room upstairs)

If you've not been out with Dublin Sketchers before, we're a relaxed and friendly bunch of people who like to sketch and draw. Bring along your own gear (paper, drawing implements etc), pick something to sketch and get stuck in.
