Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.

Sun 28 Jan - RHA on Ely Place
On Sunday 28th January we'll sketch at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) on Ely Place (which is in itself very sketchable) from 2pm and then meet in McGrattans Pub on Fitzwilliam Lane from 4pm to check out each other's sketches over a drink.
There's a range of different exhibitions on at the RHA at the moment. One focuses on drawing.
If you like lamp posts, you might be interested to know that Merrion Square hosts Dublin's Lamp Post Museum. So, if you take a wander through the park, you'll be able to sketch a load of different lamp posts.

Sun 21 January - Wexford Street Street
Sunday 21 January we're off to the Wexford Street area of Dublin to sketch from 2pm and meet in the Camden Deluxe / Camden Palace www.thecamden.ie from 4pm to check out each other's sketches over a drink.
There's loads of side streets to explore, cafés and bars. Not everyone will know about St Kevin's Park round the back of Whelans.
The Camden itself is pretty cool - The Commitments was filmed there.
