Sunday 13th December - sketching in Dublin city or on theme of candles & lights

On Sunday 13th December Dublin Sketchers will be out and about in central Dublin to sketch (location below). Because it gets dark early, we will meet at 2pm to say hello and show our sketches. You can choose to sketch before or after.

If you can't make it into the city, then why not stay local and sketch in your Dublin neighbourhood. The theme for this week is candles and lights.

It goes without saying that everyone makes sure to keep 2 metres apart and follows government advice on Covid-19.

Here's a link to the government guidelines

Remember -

- Keep 2 metres apart.

- Don't touch other people's sketch books or share your sketching kit.

- If it's raining, we won't move indoors together.

- the use of face coverings is now recommended in busy or crowded outdoor spaces where there is significant congregation.

- Jessica is the named organiser.

At 2pm on Sunday 13th December Dublin Sketchers will meet in Merrion Square. We will meet in the raised cobbled area opposite the Merrion Square entrance to the National Gallery of Ireland. The big red arrow below marks the spot.

You might like to sketch before or after we get together at 2pm. Merrion Square has loads to offer in terms of sketching, or wander through the National Gallery of Ireland and do some flash sketching. Check out the Gallery’s current visitor guide HERE.

New to Dublin Sketchers? If you have not been out with Dublin Sketchers before, and are going to come out on 13th December, please email dublinsketchers @ gmail .com before hand to let us know.

If you would like your sketch to be added to the website, email it to dublinsketchers @ gmail .com or post it to the Dublin Sketchers Social WhatsApp group if you are on that. Please edit your image so that it is low res and properly oriented for posting to the website. If you're on Instagram, use #dublinsketchers #urbansketchers

We’re looking forward to seeing each other and each other’s sketches.
