Dublin Sketchers Sunday 23rd March at Collins Barracks Museum

We had a great week last week at the Botanic Gardens, and most people found the pub!

On Sunday 23rd of March Dublin Sketchers are going to Collins Barracks Museum

We'll meet at 2pm at the main entrance. There's great objects of intrigue in the Museum, or if the weather is fine a great view of the Guinness Factory...oops, brewery.

This week's optional challenge is to capture the ghost of the barracks in your sketch!

If you've not been before, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketch pads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing. If you're on time that probably means you are new! Say hi to other sketchy looking people.

We'll meet again at 4pm at the museum coffee shop to enjoy looking at each other's work.
If you've got a camera and fancy helping out with photographing folks work - just get snapping on Sundays! You can either post them on www.dublinsketchers.com or email them to dublinsketchers@gmail.com and someone else can post them for you.

Hope to see you there!

Sunday 16th of March The Botanic Gardens 2pm, Gravediggers Pub 4pm

On Sunday 16th of March Dublin Sketchers are going to The Botanic Gardens.

We'll meet at 2pm at the main entrance

This week's optional challenge is capture a feeling of spring time, or the spirit of St Patrick.

If you've not been before, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketch pads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing.

At 4pm we'll meet at The Gravedigger's Pubs - a fantastic little pub.

John Kavanagh's - The Gravediggers Pub
1 Prospect Square.

It's an adventure to find: from the Botanic Gardens head through the newly opened gate to Glasnevin Cemetery. Then head leftwards to the bottom of the oldest part of the cemetery and go through the pedestrian gate (it might look closed, but push it and it will open) to find yourself in Prospect Square.

A couple of people each week kindly photograph everyone's work to put on the blog. If you've got a camera/phone and fancy helping out with photographing folks work - just get snapping on Sundays! You can either post them on www.dublinsketchers.com or email them to dublinsketchers@gmail.com and someone else can post them for you.

Hope to see you there!
