Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
Sketches from around Portobello Harbour, and other places, on Sunday June 4th, 2023.
Sunday 4th June, Portobello Harbour
On Sunday the 4th of June Dublin Sketchers will sketch at/around the Portobello harbour area from 2pm and meet for drinks at 4pm in Camden court hotel.
Camden Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin, D02 W086
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.
From 4pm, we'll gather for a drink and to enjoy each other’s sketches at Camden court hotel, Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2. A bunch of sketchers will magically appear.
If you would like your sketch to be added to the website, email it to dublinsketchers @ gmail .com or post it to the Dublin Sketchers Social WhatsApp group if you are on that. Please edit your image so that it is low res and properly oriented for posting to the website. If you are posting your sketch on Instagram please #dublinsketchers #urbansketchers
Hope to see you there!

Sunday, 28th May
On Sunday 28th
May we have a special opportunity to visit
Casino di Marino, a small 18th century building with inside
architectural features and stone carvings, both inside and out. We will be
sketching there from 2 pm. This is a protected site, and we are only allowed to
use dry materials inside the building; painting is allowed outside. Also, we
are committed to taking special care around the site and being mindful of other
visitors, and ask that everyone respects this.
Casino
di Marino is accessible via many bus routes, and has free parking space
outside. Find out more at https://casinomarino.ie/.
The
site has a coffee truck outside, where we’ll get together at 4 pm to chat and
share our art.
All
are welcome to bring your own sketchbook / paper and sketching implements of
choice and get stuck in.
Hope to see you there!
