Unusually, we are setting the next 2 sketching locations......
Sunday 10th November
60% chance of rain, so we better head in doors... And where better than the wonderful Fusion Market at Dublin Food Co-op, 12 New Market Square, Dublin 8. There's normally loads to sketch - open mic singers, colourful stalls, people wandering about, the interesting building.....
We'll meet at 2pm at the entrance. If it's not too busy at 4pm, we'll enjoy a coffee at the Market. If it is busy, we'll meet in Cafe Noto at 79 Thomas St (corner of Francis Street).
Weekly Challenge - a good few people have suggested that we have an optional theme/challenge/approach for the Sunday sketching sessions. You can take up the challenge or ignore it completely! So, this week's challenge - draw with your "other" hand.... So, if you are right handed, use your left hand. If you are left handed, use your right hand!
Sunday 17th November
Dublin Zoo have reached 100,000 Facebook Likes and as a big THANK YOU from Dublin Zoo they’re offering €5 entry during the month of November. So, let's go to the zoo. You MUST book your ticket ONLINE in advance to get the €5 entry.....
To redeem this offer log onto: https://dublinzoo.digitickets.co.uk/tickets and enter the code ‘Facebook’ into the discount code box (which isn't on the first page - you have to select the single ticket €16 option, and then a couple of screens later you put in the discount code). T&Cs apply: 1) Applies to single tickets only. 2) Valid until 29th November only. 3) Only valid for tickets purchased online.
We will meet INSIDE the main entrance (ie - show your ticket and go through the barrier) at 2pm. You might like to get there earlier to make a day of it! We'll meet from 4pm in
Ryan’s of Parkgate St. 28 Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 which is out near the front entrance of Phoenix Park.
Weekly Challenge - draw using two pencils (or whatever you like to use) at the same time, holding one in each hand.
if you're new to the group - come along, we're a friendly bunch! Just turn up with paper/pencils and get stuck in. If you don't see anyone at 2pm, don't worry - aren't we all a bit late on a Sunday? Pick something to sketch, work away and find us at 4pm at the coffee meet up!
