Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
27 Nov 2022: Capel Street
This Sunday (27 Nov 2022) let's take our sketchbooks to Capel Street, from 2pm.
We will meet together at The Boar’s Head from 4pm.
Capel Street is one of the most culturally diverse streets in Dublin, affording you to buy almost anything you need but didn’t know where to look. Earlier this year, it was made free of vehicles, making it the longest traffic-free and pedestrian street in Dublin.
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm at The Boar’s Head🍺 ☕
Don't worry if you're late; most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc. 🎨
If you would like your sketch to be added to the website, email it to dublinsketchers@gmail.com or post it to the Dublin Sketchers Social WhatsApp group if you are on that. Please edit your image so that it is low-res and properly oriented for posting to the website.

20 Nov 2022: Temple Bar area
This Sunday (20 Nov 2022) let's take our sketchbooks (and fiddle, if you want to) to Temple Bar area, from 2pm.
We will meet together at the Old Storehouse from 4pm.
Temple Bar (Irish: Barra an Teampaill) is an area on the south bank of the River Liffey. Promoted as the culture quarter of Dublin, it's a massive tourist attraction (and also the site of filming one dance-romance-action Bollywood movie).
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm at the Old Storehouse 🍺 ☕
