Sunday 17th March (St.Patricks Day) Meet at entrance to Botanic Gardens at 2pm. Coffee after at the Botanic coffee shop 4pm

Hi all,
To avoid the chaos of the city centre parade this Sunday's meetup will be at the Botanic Gardens.
Meet at the entrance gate at 2pm.
After the sketching session meet for coffee at the Botanic Garden centres coffee shop at 4pm. Happy sketching. See you all next week,Sunday 24th March, for our fifth birthday. Any ideas where to go and how to celebrate please put them on facebook.

2pm. Sunday the 10 March. Sketching meetup at the cafe on the top of Debenhams on Henry Street

Hi all,

This Sunday 10 March  the Cafe on the top of the Debenhams on Henry Street was suggested for our sketching session, so that's where we are going, it's got a nice view over Henry Street and we can use it as a base to explore the general area if it's too crowded. So's not to be there for three hours we will meet at 4pm for coffee at the Church Bar which is at the crossroads to the right of Debenhams.

Imma Cubism Exhibition, Sunday 3rd March 2013

Lots of very interesting sketches from the exhibition, and also some lovely garden drawings, while the sun shone! Brave souls as it was very chilly!!
 The exhibition took up 3 floors, so there would be plenty of material around to deserve another visit hopefully!

Hi all,
This week we will be visiting IMMA at the RHA Kilmainham, the main galleries are not open there due to renovations but the New Gallery building is showing an exhibition of Cubism.
This exhibition features early Irish practicioners Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Mary Swanzy and other masters of European Modernism ,
including Picasso so it should be an eye opener.
We can meet outside on the steps of the New Gallery building at 2pm. If the weather isn't too cold there are always the grounds to draw outside.
The downstairs cafe is still in operation so we will meet down there at 4pm for a coffee and sketchbook exchange and chat.

IMMA opening times this Sunday is 12noon - 5.30pm (they start kicking you out at 5.15pm)
How to get to IMMA
Museum Entrance on Military Road. Exhibitions are on show in the New Galleries.
By Luas: Red line to Heuston Station, 5 minute walk to Museum entrance on Military Road. For further information about Luas please click here
By bus: Buses to Heuston Station (5 minutes walk via Military Rd): 26 from Wellington Quay; 51, 79 from Aston Quay;
90 Dart Feeder Bus from Connolly and Tara Street Stations to Heuston Station.
Buses to James St (5 minutes walk via steps to Bow Lane onto Irwin St and Military Rd):
123 from O'Connell St/Dame St; 51B, 78A from Aston Quay.
By car: 10 minute drive from city centre. Parking Only 2 Euro for up to three hours.New Parking Arrangements: Due to an increasing problem with non-Museum visitors leaving their vehicles in the IMMA car park for lengthy periods, the Museum has put in place a carefully-structured payment system, which is being operated by Park Rite. This system is designed to deter long-term parking while at the same time facilitating IMMA visitors with an initial charge of just €1 for the first three hours.
On foot: Approximately 30 to 40 minutes from city centre. The West Gate of the Irish Museum of Modern Art is currently closed until further notice to all pedestrians due to maintenance works. The East Gate shall remain open as usual.
By train: 5 minute walk from Heuston Station; from Connolly and Tara Street Stations by 90 bus to Heuston Station
