Sunday 21st July Henrietta Street, Kings Inn, Dublin Tenement Experience

On Sunday 21st July We're going to Henrietta Street, King's Inn (if the gate is open on Sundays!) and the Dublin Tenement Experience at number 14 Henrietta Street.

Henrietta Street is a beautiful old street in Dublin, full of character. If the back gate of King's Inn is open, it's gorgeous to paint in there. No 14 Henrietta Street is temporarily open as a Tenement Museum as part of the 1913 Lock Out centenary. It's €5 to go in, but probably very interesting. You can book tickets on line in advance if you want, or get them on the day if available. Henrietta Street is also very close to Hugh Lane Gallery and Parnell Square, if you are looking for more things to sketch!

We'll meet at 2pm on Henrietta Street. At 4pm we'll head down to the Gresham Hotel for a drink and a chance to oggle at each other's sketch pads.

Trinity College 14th June

Sketches from Trinity College, Sunday 14th July 2013

It was a beautiful day in the grounds of Trinity College, there was so much to see that we must pay another visit there again soon. We retired at 4pm to KC Peaches, downstairs, as it was busy, but we seemed to have lost some of our group, so if anyone has sketches to show, you can e mail them in to us please and I will put them up.

Hello!

On Sunday 14th July we're off to Trinity College! Loads of great stuff to draw.

We'll meet at the front arch of Trinity at 2pm and then wander about finding things to draw!

Bring sun tan lotion and a sun hat - it's set to be great weather again.

If you've not been before, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketch pads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing.

We'll meet again at 4pm at KC Peaches on Nassau Street to check out each other's work and enjoy a coffee.

Sunday 7th July - Terenure Vintage Car Show or Bushy Park

On Sunday 7th July we have choice!

The Terenure Vintage Car show is on in the grounds of Terenure College at the Templeogue Road / Fortfield Road crossroads in Dublin 6W. It's €10 entry if you want to sketch the classic cars and soak up the atmosphere.

Alternatively, Bushy Park is on the opposite side of the road and is a beautiful park with much on offer - a lovely lake, or through the woods down to the river Dodder.

We'll meet at 2pm at the main entrance to the Car Show.

At 4pm - let's have a coffee picnic! Bring a flask of tea/coffee or your favourite picnic drink. We'll meet at the band stand in Bushy Park, enjoy the sunshine and look at each other's sketches.

If it's raining (and the forecast says not) we'll meet at Vaughan's Eagle House at 4pm for a coffee instead. Address is 103/105 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W. It's about 10 minutes walk from Bushy Road.

See you there! If you can't find us at 2pm, just get stuck in with the drawing and meet us at 4pm at the band stand in Bushy Park!

Sketches from St Audeons on Sunday 30th June

Here are the Sketches from St Audeons on Sunday. Unfortunately, the main garden, which has the views of the Church and also views across the liffey, is in the care of the Dublin Corporation, and is no longer open at the weekend. However, the inside of the Church was amazing and the staff there were extremely helpful.
