Sunday 15th April - Maritime Museum, Dun Laoghaire

This Sunday we're going to Dun Laoghaire. The Maritime Museum is open again. It's in a converted church, and has some fine maritime exhibits to draw. We've arranged a group price of €3 - so be sure to say you're with the Dublin Sketchers Group when you're paying in. If you prefer to draw outside, there's plenty to attract or distract you!

We'll meet at 2pm at the entrance to the Maritime Museum. If you've not been before, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketch pads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing.

We'll meet again at 4pm at the entrance to the Maritime Museum and go for a coffee (probably in Costa Coffee on Marine Road, above the now closed book shop, our usual Dun Laoghaire coffee haunt) and enjoy looking at each other's sketch pads.

The website for the museum is http://www.dun-laoghaire.com/profile/maritime/index.html

Their location map makes it look like the museum is floating in the middle of nowhere! You can get to it either through the grounds of the Royal Marine Hotel, or by turning left out of the DART station and walking straight along with Itsa Bagel etc on your right, and you'll see the museum up on the right (past the bowling green).

Hope to see you there!
