Dublin Sketchers are a loose collection who gather every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different location each week. Check here on a Friday to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a chat/coffee/drink. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
Sunday 16th of March The Botanic Gardens 2pm, Gravediggers Pub 4pm
On Sunday 16th of March Dublin Sketchers are going to The Botanic Gardens.
We'll meet at 2pm at the main entrance
This week's optional challenge is capture a feeling of spring time, or the spirit of St Patrick.
If you've not been before, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketch pads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing.
At 4pm we'll meet at The Gravedigger's Pubs - a fantastic little pub.
John Kavanagh's - The Gravediggers Pub
1 Prospect Square.
It's an adventure to find: from the Botanic Gardens head through the newly opened gate to Glasnevin Cemetery. Then head leftwards to the bottom of the oldest part of the cemetery and go through the pedestrian gate (it might look closed, but push it and it will open) to find yourself in Prospect Square.
A couple of people each week kindly photograph everyone's work to put on the blog. If you've got a camera/phone and fancy helping out with photographing folks work - just get snapping on Sundays! You can either post them on www.dublinsketchers.com or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org someone else can post them for you.
