On Sunday the 15th of February Dublin Sketchers are going to Collins Barracks.

We'll meet at 2pm at the main reception area inside the Museum.

Here's a website

Some highlights at the museum include the wonderful Asgard yacht which was owned by the man who wrote the classic Riddle of the Sands, exhibitions on Irish costume over the centuries, the modernist Eileen Grey and of the history of the Irish state from 1913 onwards as well as countless useful and artistic objects of interest.

From 4pm, we'll gather for a coffee at the coffee shop in Collins Barracks

This week's optional challenge is to find and draw a netsuke.

If you haven't been before keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketch book and come and say hello. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are!

Hope to see you there!
