Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.

This weekend we will pay a visit to the annual Kings of Concrete Festival which was fantastic last year. Held on the grounds of the Civic Offices (Dublin City Council) there is a whole lot going on over the course of the weekend, but we will meet at our usual time of 2pm, Sunday at the entrance nearest to Dame Street (on the start of Fishamble Street) just before Christchurch Cathedral and opposite the Bull and Castle pub.
All meet together again at 4pm at the same entrance and head for the Bull and Castle for coffees etc.
I'm off to Cork this weekend so I won't be out myself and the following weekend is the Plein Air Festival in Wexford, which I am really looking forward to. There are a few Dublin Sketchers heading down again this year but if anyone is interested in coming with us - it really is a great weekend of painting :-) Can't wait! http://www.artintheopen.org/ for more info.
Enjoy Sunday - remember to send us in photos of your work so we can put them on the website!

St.Annes
St. Ann's Park - Rose Festival/Viking Festival 2pm 17th July
Red Stables - St. Anne's Park
Hi all,
It seems you are all happy to visit St. Ann's Park this weekend so we will meet at the entrance on Mount Prospect Avenue at 2pm. We will all meet up again at the Red Stables where there is a cafe at 4pm.
Easiest by car, just head for Mount Prospect Avenue. If using Dublin Bus, line 30 will get you to St. Anne's Park and there is also the DART, the nearest station Raheny.
Details of the festival are on the Dublin City Council - link here!
Admission to the festival and car parking is free.
See you there!

Ideas for Sunday 17th July
Any ideas for Sunday? The Dublin Viking Festival is taking place this weekend and it is being held alongside the Dublin Rose Festival in St. Anne's Park - there's a falconry exhibit and bow making.. lots to see, along with lots of roses.. so something for everyone!
Any other suggestions?
Tracy
Sunday 10th July 2011. Dunlaoghaire Regatta.
There was a great turnout in Dunlaoghaire on Sunday. Weather was fine with a few threathening clouds,
rain did visit for a few minutes! Did 2 quick pen sketches then decided to use watercolour to try and capture the skies.
