On Sunday 19th September from 2pm Dublin Sketchers will draw out and about at the Chester Beatty Library and Dublin Castle
A
vibrant National Cultural Institution, the Chester Beatty was once the private
library of Sir Alfred Chester Beatty (1875 – 1968), a successful American
mining engineer, collector and philanthropist, the Chester Beatty is also today
a research library for scholars from all over the world. It was described by the Lonely Planet as ‘not
just the best museum in Ireland but one of the best in Europe. Join us for a lovely
afternoon of sketching. There are also
plenty of coffee options locally.
Rather
than meeting in a cafe or pub, we'll gather at the sculpture outside the library
at 4pm. Remember to observe Covid rules.
If it's your first time, just come along with your materials and paper. Say
hello to any fellow sketcher you see. Don't worry if you're late, we usually
are!
If you would like your sketch added to the website, email to
dublinsketchers@gmail.com or post it to the Dublin Sketchers social WhatsApp if
you're on that. If you're on Instagram use #dublinsketchers. Please edit your
image so it is low resolution and properly oriented.
