Sketches from IMMA

Great to see so many people in IMMA today, fantastic exhibition and a pity it has come to a close. Here are my two from today - if anyone hasn't had theirs snapped by our inhouse photographer Mary, then send them to us by email or get it touch and we'll arrange for them to be put up!

Sunday 13th February

Well hello and how are you?

I find myself full of the joys of the Hallmark season and last night's Guinness. Hooray for me! Now then, that aside, let's see what the sketchers will be up to this weekend. Ah, there it is, the IMMA by a nose. Which county that nose is from shall remain a much maligned topic of debate. Some Moderns exhibition is on, I hear and is over on Monday. So let's go there, we'll meet at the main entrance at 2:00 on Sunday and again in the cafe there at 4:00 to steal each other's well formed and occasionally watercoloured ideas. I think that's just about all you need to know for now. Go team Draw Stuff !!

Sunday 13th February - any suggestions?

So for Sunday 13th February - where would you like to spend a few hours with some like-minded sketchy folk?! Any exhibitions you'd like to see?

The Moderns exhibition (IMMA) ends this Monday so perhaps it'd be nice to see it again before it goes? There's the Dublin Toy and Train Fair in the Clontarf Castle Hotel.

The Ghost Bride

Enjoyed the RHA today, was nice to get out and about! This was inspired by the big leaf sculpture upstairs.. which was amazing. I loved Éilis O'Connell's stuff in the room downstairs, some fantastic stuff - the birds nests especially! Anyway, here's my effort from today.

Sunday 6th Feb - RHA @2pm

Well hello there!

It's Friday again, how the time flies. This Sunday we are going to keep it nice and central - seeing as the weather isn't the nicest! The RHA has some interesting new exhibits taking place so I'm sure there will be something for everyone!

Meeting at 2pm, inside the main door and back there again at 4pm. We will most likely go to a cafe on Baggott Street afterwards as the cafe in the RHA closes before we finish up.

See you Sunday!

Sunday - Where to?

So far we have the RHA (new exhibitions list here) and the Chinese New Year (no definite location suggested though). If you have a location in mind - please shout it out! Pat Coyle kindly did us up a Spreadsheet of Locations that you can view and give us suggestions that we can add to it, plus it should help you decide where you would like to go! This will also be linked on the side of this website from now on!
