Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
Sketches from Hugh Lane 4th Aug 2024
On Sunday 4th August we will draw from 2pm around the Hugh Lane Gallery on Parnell Square North at the Art & The Outdoors Festival, with music, art and other events (Thanks Aisha for the heads-up!). In the event of rain, sketchers can move into the gallery; there's a nice cafe downstairs, and the interior of the building itself is lovely (dry media only in the exhibition spaces).
We will meet in Murray’s Public House on O Connell Street Upper from 4pm for drinks and to share our sketches.
If it's your first time out and you can't spot anyone at 2pm, don't worry: just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes out for anyone carrying a sketchpad and say hello; we're a friendly crowd, and you'll get to chat to us in the pub later. You'll need to bring your own sketching materials.
