On Sunday the 24th of November Dublin Sketchers will sketch at the Hugh Lane Gallery (in Charlemont House on Parnell Square North) and the Garden of Remembrance and the surrounding area from around 2pm to 4pm. We will meet for drinks at 4pm at The Shakespeare/the Hop House Pub on Parnell St.
The Hugh Lane Gallery is one of the oldest contemporary art museums in Europe. It hosts Irish contemporary art, among which a fantastic reproduction of Francis Bacon's art studio, but also some French masterpieces such as Les Parapluies or The Umbrellas by Auguste Renoir.
Feel free to sketch both inside or outside the museum, as the beautiful Garden of Remembrance is just across the road. Lovely Georgian buildings in the surrounding area as well.

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

See you there!
