Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
NGI Sunday 27t Jan . Sketches.Pt 1
It was great to see the Turner Exhibition again. There were several etchings included which I do not think I had seen before. I like to see a variety of exhibits from year to year in this exhibition... The last lecture connected with Turner, and titled 'the Genius of Turner' was excellent.
Also there was a large turnout of sketchers today and we produced a good variety of work.

Sunday 27 January - National Gallery
This Sunday we are going to meet at The National Gallery
of Ireland.
It’s the last chance to see the annual exhibition of
Turner’s Watercolours, which are only displayed in January (as stipulated when
the collection was bequeathed to the gallery in 1900). An outdoor option - for anyone hardy enough
to brave the cold - is the park around the corner in Merion Square
We'll meet at 2pm at the entrance to the Millennium Wing.
If you're new to Dublin Sketchers, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketchpads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing
We'll meet again at 4pm at the same place to go for coffee (probably to the coffee shop opposite the gift shop) where we have a chat and admire each other’s work.
Hope to see you there.
