On Sunday the 17 September Dublin Sketchers will sketch in the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham from 2pm and meet for coffee in the Hilton Hotel Kilmainham at 4pm.
The loose starting point is the foyer of IMMA.
Depending on the weather people may like to explore the grounds - courtyard, formal gardens, Bully's acre, Richmond Tower (one of the gates to the city which was transported to its present location). There is a charge in to see the Freud exhibition- but interesting! There are plenty of other exhibitions to see otherwise.
This week's optional challenge is to include the clocktower as quietly as possible in one of your sketches!?
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself. It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

We will meet for coffee at 4pm in the Hilton Hotel Kilmainham. This is outside the Richmond Tower gate on South Circular Road, and across from Kilmainham Jail. They have been asked to expect us . A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear there.
Hope to see you there!
