Sunday 24th January-Lockdown luxuries

I decided to call the the theme this week Lockdown luxuries. I am asking you to find the positives in the current situation whether you have extra free time or are busier than ever. Maybe lockdown has given you the chance to discover interesting places in your neighbourhood. Have you had more time to devote to hobbies? The luxury could be relaxing with your drink of choice at the end of the day. For me, there is a local park that I never really visited before the first lockdown but I now enjoy going there and walking by the canal that passes through it and the by the pond in the park and I will possibly use that as my sketching place this week.

At 4pm we'll meet on Zoom to show each other our work over a drink (bring your own). You'll need the meeting ID and password to join. If you are on the Dublin Sketchers What's App group, you'll find the info there. If not, email dublinsketchers @ before 3pm on Sunday to ask for the details. There'll be a waiting room to join the Zoom, so wait a few minutes to join.

If you would like your sketch to be added to please either post it to the Whats App Social Dublin Sketchers group or email to (jpeg format). Please make it low-res and properly orientated for posting to the website. If you're on Instagram, use #dublinsketchers #urbansketchers

Looking forward to seeing everyone's work.

If you are new to Dublin Sketchers - we normally get together on a Sunday afternoon somewhere around Dublin to sketch from 2-4pm, and meet at 4pm for a drink and to check out each other's work. We’re doing things a bit differently at the moment.
