Sunday 11 November - Collins Barracks

On Sunday 11 November, Dublin Sketchers will sketch at Collins Barracks from 2pm and meet for drinks at 4pm in The Galway Hooker, Parkgate Street, beside Heuston Station.

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

About Collins Barracks: Museum Luas stop is beside it. Plenty of choice for sketching both inside and out, weather permitting. Leave yourself plenty of time to explore the Irish haute couture, furniture, silver, jewellery and ceramics, not to mention the exhibitions. All this amazing history & it's all free to see.

From 4pm, we'll gather for a drink at The Galway Hooker, 26 Parkgate Street, beside Heuston Station.

A bunch of sketchers will magically appear.

Sketches from Collins Barracks (Sunday 14 May 2017)

It was a beautiful day for Dublin sketching. Everybody found interesting views and subjects. Too many there to record all the names, so if you want your name included, add it as a comment, telling us which sketch is yours, e.g. "4th from the top, view of the Liffey"
