Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
Sketches from Beggars Bush and the Print Museum, on Sunday 5th December 2021.
Sun 5th December - Beggars Bush and Print Museum
On Sunday 5th December Dublin Sketchers will be out and about in central Dublin to sketch or sketch locally to you if you prefer.
Please keep in mind current government guidelines on Covid.
We've changing the timings a little bit for the next wee while, due to popular demand. So, start sketching from 1.30pm and we'll meet at 3.30pm.
From 1.30pm on Sunday 5th December Dublin Sketchers will sketch around Beggars Bush and the Print Museum. You might want to book ahead into the Print Museum. Slattery's Pub down the road has indoor / outdoor seating and there's plenty of cafes down towards Lower Baggot Street. The School House pub near The Grand Canal also has indoor / outdoor seating.
Rather than meeting in a pub or coffee shop, we'll gather outdoors to catch up and check out each other's work. At 3.30pm, we'll gather outside the front of the Print Museum. Grab a coffee / drink on the way.
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 1.30pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know when we get together at 3.30pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.
If you can't make it into town, then why not stay local and sketch in your Dublin neighbourhood.
If you would like your sketch to be added to the website, email it to dublinsketchers @ gmail .com or post it to the Dublin Sketchers Social WhatsApp group if you are on that. Please edit your image so that it is low res and properly oriented for posting to the website. If you're on Instagram, use #dublinsketchers #urbansketchers
Looking forward to seeing you there.

It is located at 3 Great Denmark Street in the Parnell Square Cultural Quarter. Nearby you will find the Hugh Lane Gallery and the Garden of Remembrance.
