Dublin Sketchers get together every Sunday afternoon in Dublin to sketch. We go to a different place each week. Check here before hand to see where we are off to. Come along if you fancy it! We start sketching from 2pm and meet at 4pm for a drink and chat. We are part of the global Urban Sketchers community.
Framing for the exhibition
Hi all,
Just wondering if any of you who are exhibiting have had a chance to look into framing yet? I know there's a link up to J&J framing, are they the best value or has someone used them before? They're just a bit awkward for me to get to, so I'm looking to see if there's anything more central. I stumbled across this site which has links to framers all over Dublin, so might help people to locate one near to them: http://www.irish-art.com/pictureframing.php?start=1&query=&countyq=Dublin. I hope to check out a couple during the week, but if anyone has any recommendations maybe they'd post them up here.

Merrion Street Artists Celebrations - 2pm Sunday 30th
This week the Dublin Sketchers are heading for Merrion Square where the Merrion Street Artists are celebrating 25 years on Merrion Square and having a street party! Inside the Square the Dublin City Soul Festival is taking place, so that should also prove interesting.
There will be artists demonstrations, face painting and more.

Everybody is welcome, if you haven't been sketching with us before, please just have a sketch pad out and the group will spot you.
Meet at 2pm, at the gate opposite the entrance to the National Gallery. Meet up at 4pm at the same spot - most likely go to the National Gallery Cafe for coffee!
