On Sunday the 21st May Dublin Sketchers will sketch in Dublin Docklands from 2pm and meet for coffee at 4pm in the Chq Building.
There is a summer festival that will be on so there are things happening on the water as well as markets and a funfair. If you want somewhere a bit quieter, there are a few coffee shops around that might be good to sketch at. The festival has a facebook page which can be seen at https://www.facebook.com/ Docklands-Summer-Festival- 133780636700206/?fref=nf and website http://www. docklandssummerfestival.com/
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself. It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.
From 4pm, we'll gather for a coffee at the CHQ building. It is a few minutes walk away- cross the river and go left then walk a little bit and it is on the right side-beside the Sean O Casey bridge. There is lots of tables so there should be plenty of room for everyone.
Hope to see you there!
