On Sunday 4th June Dublin Sketchers
are meeting at The Royal Hibernian
Acedemy, Ely Place, Dublin 2.
We traditionally visit the RHA at this time of
the year to take a look at their annual exhibition. This is Ireland’s
largest open submission exhibition, and includes painting, sculpture, print,
photography, drawing and architectural models.
(Unlike the other galleries in Dublin, the RHA
do not provide chairs for visitors.
There are some benches, or you can stand or sit on the floor, but if you
can bring your own stool it can make life easier)
The starting
point is inside the gallery at 2pm. If you can’t find any sketchers at that time
don’t worry … and if you’re late you won’t be the only one. It’s Sunday afternoon and we’re not famous
for our punctuality. Just get started
and keep your eyes open for others.
At 4pm we will
meet at the RHA Coffee Shop for refreshments and
conversation. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about
introducing yourself.
Dublin Sketchers is FREE – just bring your own
drawing materials.
Hope to see you there.
