This Sunday 26th April 2020, we will be sketching from the safety of our own homes. Sketching will start at approx 2pm and finish at 4pm.
I heard on the radio Dublin Airport traffic is down more than 90% - this 'bridge to the world' where normally millions of passengers arrive and depart every year. I think everyone has been affected either knowing friends or families who have travelled home to spend the Coronavirus lock down with loved ones or people who were due to fly out on holiday or for business. It has been an invaluable asset to the community both here for that reason, but also worldwide by enabling many students and tourists the chance to travel home to their loved ones.
One of the links includes a video of the 80 year old original Dublin Airport terminal building. Another link attached shows 360° views of inside and outside the airport terminals, not to mention a variety of planes, so there is plenty of choice to sketch.
We will meet at 4pm on Zoom. We will check out each other's sketches. Bring your own refreshments.
If you would like to join the Zoom meet up, here's the information. There's a waiting room set up for the Zoom, so please wait a few minutes to join.
You will need a password to join - you can either email dublinsketchers@ gmail.com before 2pm on Sunday to ask for the password, or if you are on the Dublin Sketchers WhatsApp you will find the password there.
