Hi everyone... This week, Sunday 23rd May - the weather is pretty appalling so I thought a choice of meet up or a theme would be nice. So, Merrion Square for the hardy annuals and 'book/s that mean something to me' for the theme. The book can be the cover / an illustration from / the meaning / or anything it conjures up for you. Like, the place where you read it / the person who gave it to you. And you can but of course don't have to share the meaning. That should get ye all thinking.
If you do make it to Merrion Square in the rain from 2pm, it goes without saying that everyone makes sure to keep 2 metres apart and follows government advice on Covid-19. If you are new, get stuck in and keep your eye out for other people sketching and say "hello."
Rather than meeting in a pub or coffee shop, we'll gather outdoors to catch up and check out each other's work. At 4pm on Sun 23rd, we'll gather near the Oscar Wilde statue. If it's lashing it down with rain, maybe most people will stay home and sketch their books!
If you would like your sketch to be added to the website, email it to dublinsketchers @ gmail .com or post it to the Dublin Sketchers Social WhatsApp group if you are on that. Please edit your image so that it is low res and properly oriented for posting to the website. If you're on Instagram, use #dublinsketchers #urbansketchers
Looking forward to seeing you there.
