On Sunday 18th August we will draw from 2pm in Glasnevin Cemetery (next door to the Botanic Gardens). The grounds are extensive, with many old stone monuments, and a café just inside the main gates. We will meet in Hedigans ‘The Brian Ború’ from 4pm for drinks and to share our sketches.
The cemetery may
be accessed through the main gate (link below), by the side gate beside John Kavanagh's pub, or from the Botanic Gardens.
Glasnevin Cemetery is served by the buses 4, 9, 40, 140 and
155.
If it's your first time out and you can't spot anyone at 2pm, don't worry: just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes out for anyone carrying a sketchpad and say hello; we're a friendly crowd, and you'll get to chat to us in the pub later. You'll need to bring your own sketching materials.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
