Marianne's Sketch - April 4th

Sketch attached from meeting on 4th April. Dublin City Hall was closed so, the Sketchers went into the grounds near the Chester Beatty library (Dublin Castle Grounds?)

Apologies for the mix up with the location, there was no notice that the Dublin City Hall would be closed on Easter Sunday! We will visit there again in the future. If anyone else has pics to put up please do - or email them to us if you'd like us to put them up for you!

Lovely sketch Marianne. I like your window detail.

Hi Mary, thanks. Think i'll go back to pencil drawing though. too little space to use an oil pastel!

Yes I agree, you need A3 size for oil pastels.

Great picture, Mary. If oil pastels compel you to close framing, maybe see the advantages in that? This picture is a good example of how effective it can be in bringing the viewer in close.
