Sunday 9th July 2017 -
Wolfe Tone Square, Dublin 1
Hello All,
On Sunday 9th July Dublin Sketchers are meeting at 2PM in
the heart of the city at Wolfe Tone Square, Dublin 1.
Wolfe Tone Square is behind the Church Bar and Restaurant on
Mary Street beside the Jervis Centre just off Henry Street. From the square you
will see the many Dublin shoppers, the rear of old St Mary’s Church , the
remaining front of the old Jervis Street Hospital, the copper dome of Penney’s,
headstones with lettering and some carvings, palm trees in containers, a bronze
cow and The Tram café. The Tram was built in 1902 in Philadelphia but spent
most of its working life in Portugal. You can read more about the tram at
www.thetram.com
Nearby is Capel Street, Little Mary Street and the Fruit and
Vegetable Market so you have plenty of places beyond Wolfe Tone Square if you
want to roam and sketch.
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who
looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in.
Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people
come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself. It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get
know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually
are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.
At 4PM we will meet at The Tram café, Wolfe Tone Square for
coffee/tea.
Dublin Sketchers. Seats will be allocated to us in an annexe
to the tram.

If you wish to be removed from the Dublin Sketchers mailing
list, please just let us know. Dublin Sketchers is a loose gathering of
individuals who get together to share their love of sketching.
