On Sunday, 17th May, we will sketch from 2pm around Rathmines main street. The neighbourhood has plenty of interesting buildings, such as the Stella cinema and the Post Office building, both in Art Deco style; the lying clock tower, and the Belfast Banking Company building, now housing the Sprezzatura restaurant. At 4pm, we’ll meet at the Kodiak, to chat, drink, and admire each other’s work.
If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.
