Sketch from the RHA

Well it was a funny meet up - the RHA didn't open until 2pm and it was very busy. Spent time walking along the Canal and took some nice Autumnal photos, but didn't sketch anything! Ended up with just one 5 min sketch of a sculpture that I really liked - Mechanical Man type thing!

Looking forward to Drimnagh next weekend, will try to be more focused!!

We should organise a sketch at the canal at some stage.

In a strange way he kind of reflected my mood - kind of a sore head and a bit weak!! Drinks on a Saturday night might have to be curtailed!!!

This sketch is brill - a real mechanical sense to it. Know what you mean about the sore head - unfortunately was suffering that myself on Sunday. Will see ye next week for Drimnagh castle.

Nice sketch :)

I was going to suggest a place by the canal! There is a small Starbucks facing the canal and a petrol station so it is possible to stay inside.

Yes definitely - it's so beautiful there at the moment especially. Amazing colours and reflections!

Nice rendering of that sculpture - Jaysus I think a lot of us were a bit worse for wear that Sunday.
Just couldn't get it together at all for sketching that day.
Have never sketched about the canal but wouldn't mind doing so either. Maybe the follwing Sunday after this weekend?

yes that sounds good - it is entirely weather dependent of course though.. but would be really nice.
